7th Grade Adventures in Faith Obstacle Course
Our Blessed Mother had to fully embrace the idea of becoming the mother of Jesus, even though she was afraid and had no idea what was ahead of her. 7th grade students took a “blind journey” with only the help of words to guide them. They had to show their compete faith and trust just as Mary did saying yes to God.
Games, fun and yummy ice cream put smiles on the faces of the PreSchool 3 through 3rd Grade students that came to the Ice Cream Social last Friday at SFX!
In honor of Homecoming we are turning the clock back to spotlight the 1973 cheerleading team! Can you spot Mrs. Kim Mattucci, SFX Alumna '73 & long time Faculty member?
It's almost time for Winter Uniforms!

THE NEXT "GRAB 'n GO UNIFORM EXCHANGE WILL BE ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 14th. Stay tuned for more information. Time TBD.

The last day to wear summer uniforms for 2021 is Friday October 15th! Please come to school on Monday October 18th wearing the winter uniform.

Last year, we allowed spirit wear to be worn all year. This year we have stated that we are going back to our uniform. Please note the following:

Grades 1-5 only:
  • Navy Blue crew or ¼ zip sweatshirts with St Francis Xavier on the crest may be worn during the day in class.
  • Solid Navy Blue sweater, cardigan, or pullover (no logo) may also be worn during the day in class.

Grades 6-8 only:
  • Grey or Navy Blue crew ¼ zip sweatshirts with St Francis Xavier on the crest may be worn during the day in class.
  • Solid Navy Blue sweater, cardigan, or pullover (no logo) may also be worn during the day in class.

No other sweatshirts can not be worn during the day as part of the uniform. If your child is in need of one of those sweatshirts, you can reach out to the office and we will try to find one. There may also be some available at the next uniform grab and go on October 14th. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation.

Dear Parent Volunteers,

On behalf of everyone who is a part of the SFX community, I want to thank all of our parent volunteers. We know that in any Catholic School parent volunteers are vital in making many student events and fundraisers possible. At St. Francis Xavier we are blessed to have a strong group of parent volunteers.

As we know, we are in unprecedented times as we deal with preventing the spread of Covid 19 and its variants. Many protocols have had to be put in place to keep students and staff safe and in school. As we begin to let parents back in school as volunteers working in our classrooms, we now need to address protocols that must be followed.

Any parent who will be volunteering at any school indoor event, on or off campus, will need to comply with all protocols in place, including masks, hand sanitizing, and social distancing.

Additionally, volunteers must:

1) give us a copy of your Covid vaccination card or

2) unvaccinated volunteers determined to be “regular”, such as coaches & weekly volunteers, will need to be tested weekly and show evidence. Event volunteers must show evidence of a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours prior to the volunteer event.

We will begin collecting proof of vaccination immediately from any parent who would like to volunteer at any event. Parents may email a copy or send in a hard copy of your vaccination card or test results to Mary Hoffman mhoffman@sfxlg.org. If you will be presenting a negative test result, that can be presented when you come to school for an event. For offsite events, the proof must be given to the school office prior to the event. Records will be kept in the school office.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter and look forward to welcoming our parent volunteers back into the building! We could not do it without you! AT SFX WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!!

Be Well and God Bless,
Sharon M. Garcia
We are happy to be able to host Catholic High School Night this year, as last year's event was canceled due to Covid-19. Students must be accompanied by a parent or designated adult. Parking will be available in the school lot, enter through the gym doors, and masks are required in the building.
