Hope this message finds you safe and healthy in this difficult time. As you know, the April dinner meeting was cancelled. There was some talk about having our next meeting using a program like Zoom to get all of us all together virtually. We could have a TIPS speaker and a raffle at the end or maybe get together and share our challenges trying to run/work for a business through the rapidly changing environment. I for one know this has been extremely difficult to navigate.
The summer conference is cancelled.
The golf tournament is still on for September.
You should have received a letter from the Prize Committee and shortly you'll be receiving a letter from the Educational Scholarship Committee. Please consider making a contribution to either or both of these committees. This is an integral part of TLARGI and can bring the youth into our industry. We want to thank all that have in the past and continued to do so. Your generosity helps to make TLARGI a success.
I wish you all a healthy and safe summer. We will see each other in person as soon as it is safe to do so. Your continued support in TLARGI is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

TECHNICAL CONFERENCE, OKTOBERFEST AND CHRISTMAS PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT
|
It goes without saying this has been a very challenging year for all, including the operation of TLARGI. As you all know all events have been postponed/cancelled from the April until now. The board has tried to manage and continue with as many TLARGI events as possible. However, in light of the current conditions with COVID-19, its effect on our ability to gather in large groups safely and the uncertainty of these conditions for the future, the board has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Technical Conference, Expo, Oktoberfest, and Christmas Party. We understand that many individuals and companies may not be able to participate as a measure of staying safe and healthy. TLARGI as an organization respects these decisions and at the same time cannot afford to operate events that won't allow for maximum participation as it will result in a financial loss.
With the postponement of the Technical Conference the board is considering offering the conference via some type of webinar format. If you feel strongly that you would be interested in participating in something like this please take the survey and click the yes button. If we're able to draw a reasonable amount of interest we will begin assembling speakers to offer a similar content to that of a typical conference just in a webinar format.

Basic Rubber Technology Course
August 27 to December 17, 2020 (Virtual)
Typically this is a (in-classroom) 20-week course (comprised of two 10-week semesters); however, due to COVID, we will be moving to a safe schedule using a webinar format. This year we will have a single 15-week semester schedule with classes starting Thursday August 27th, 2020 and will be held weekly each Thursday until December 17th, 2020.
If you or your employees have never attended, we highly recommend enrolling. Whether your background is operations, sales, technical, finance or management, it provides invaluable training to further your success in the rubber industry..
