Introducing 'PRISMA on the Couch'
In times like these, music is more important than ever. That is why we're thrilled to announce that we've found a way to bring you a 'virtual' edition of the PRISMA Festival, in spite of its physical cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting this Monday, June 15, we invite you to enjoy a nightly livestream featuring pre-recorded orchestral and chamber music performances, engaging interviews, historical highlights, behind-the-scenes access, as well as brand new studio segments and solo performances recorded from a safe social distance.

The PRISMA Academy has gone digital as well, with our guest artists using Zoom to offer remote masterclasses and mentorship sessions to this year’s accepted students. As a viewer, you'll get a front-row seat in our digital classroom and be able to watch these fine musicians at work.

This 10-episode web series will be hosted by maestro Arthur Arnold and members of the PRISMA staff, filling the two-week spot PRISMA's annual festival and music academy was to occupy this June.

Tune in on weeknights from 7 to 8 pm PDT on PRISMA’s Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as on Shaw TV in Powell River. You won’t want to miss this epic musical celebration!

In the media...
“We decided we are not going to fall silent or be the victims of a pandemic; we are going to accept this challenge and use it as an opportunity to reach people in new, creative ways,” said PRISMA artistic director Arthur Arnold. “Music connects and inspires, and we need it more than ever.”

"These are challenging times, but I have no doubt that PRISMA will provide a wonderful reminder that this can also be a time of inspiration... Thank you, again, for modeling technological innovation and making life a bit brighter for the people of B.C., Canada, and the world." – John Horgan, Premier of British Columbia
