Dear PVPHS and PVHS Senior Families,
Graduation and promotion are very special events; however, recent guidance from the LA County Department of Public Health has forced us to choose alternative dates for these ceremonies. Based on the overwhelming consensus from our school community that live, in person ceremonies are preferred, the District has selected the following dates. If further guidance does not allow for the first alternate date, event(s) will move to the next date in succession.  Those dates are as follows: 
July 10                       Prom  
July 16                       Intermediate Promotion   
July 17                       High School Graduation
July 30                       Intermediate Promotion Alternate 1 
August 1-6 (TBD)      Prom Alternate 1 
August 7                    High School Graduation Alternate 1 
August 14                  Intermediate Promotion Alternate 2 
December 19            High School Graduation Alternate 2 
As we continue to receive more guidance from our County Office of Education and the LA County Department of Public Health, we will update you.  We thank you for your continued support as we work though these challenging times and rest assured, we look forward to celebrating and acknowledging our students.  
We have been working together to create a delivery plan for you to be able to receive your graduation apparel. Each school will have a designated day for a contactless distribution service so you can receive your cap, gown, tassel and medallion.  Peninsula High's Cap and Gown Distribution will be Wednesday, May 27 and PV High's Cap and Gown Distribution will beThursday, May 28.
Moon Grad Services/Herff Jones will be set up in the parking lot at Peninsula on May 27th and at PV on May 28th for a contactless drive through service for you to receive your items. Please follow this schedule and come during your scheduled time:
Last name starting with the letters A - E: 9:00am -10:15am
Last name starting with letters - K: 10:15am - 11:30am
Last name starting with - Q: 11:30am - 12:15pm
Last name starting with - Z: 12:15pm - 1:30pm
If you miss your scheduled time, the make-up window will be 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Students who still need to purchase their graduation regalia: We ask that you come during the make-up window time (1:30 pm - 3:00 pm). Moon Grad Services/Herff Jones will only be accepting credit cards for the protection of you and their employees. The cost for the cap and gown will be $60.00. You can also place an order online at  www.moongradservices.com  by midnight on May 25th to be prepackaged with your name.

As an additional way of celebrating this incredibly resilient class, all seniors will be receiving 'Congratulations Class of 2020' yard signs from their respective schools.  Various staff members from both high schools will be delivering the yard signs to the graduates this weekend (Friday/Saturday).
