St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Parish School exists to direct children toward God and toward Christian Service to society through Catholic religious formation, academic challenge, and continuous improvement.

Dear Families,

Starting January 31st, Catholic Schools all over the country will be celebrating the 47th anniversary of Catholic Schools Week. The theme of our celebration is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” The theme encompasses the core products and values that can be found in Catholic schools across the country. Not only are we teaching students to become future servant leaders, faith-filled disciples and enriched citizens in our communities, we are growing with them. In Catholic schools, we are all learners, servants and leaders. These shared qualities are what makes Catholic schools work. They are what make our students succeed. The theme also focuses on key elements of Catholic education: faith development, academic excellence and dedication to service. These elements set St. Mary’s apart from other educational options. That is why you make sacrifices to provide your children with a Catholic education. For that, we couldn't be more grateful.

Home & School News

We are the Warren family – John, Courtney, Kate (junior at Brookfield Central), Johnny (freshman at Marquette University High), and Jake (5th grade).
 
Our family likes to take road trips and explore new places. We have a map of the United States hung up in our house and we place a star on it every time we go to a new state. Our goal is to visit all the lower 48 states together as a family. We are currently planning our next adventure!
 
Our family pet is a big 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Sully. We actually got him as a puppy through an SMV connection, and we are forever grateful.
 
After living in Wauwatosa for many years, we now call Elm Grove our home for the past six years.
 
Our family loves being a part of SMV because we have met many wonderful and lifelong friends during our 13 years of being here. The teachers here are excellent, and we are confident that our children receive an excellent education at SMV by how well prepared our older two were for high school.

With the calendar turning to 2021, our fundraising is off to a quick start. Your student has come home with sponsorship information for our late-winter fundraiser Blarney in a Box. The term “Blarney” can be defined a few ways, according to Google, most notably for our purposes, it means “amusing and harmless nonsense.”
What is Blarney in a Box? With present limitations on social gatherings, we designed what we hope will be a fun, fresh and successful fundraiser, consisting of:
·  Opportunity to purchase a “Box o’ Blarney”.” There will be a variety of choices for both adults and children, including food, beverage, and fun!               
·   Opportunity to donate a Box o’ Blarney to an SMV Faculty or Staff member or potentially a few other local organizations
·   Cash Raffle
·   Online Auction
·   Wine Pull
·   And More!!!!

The boxes will be available for pre-order very soon, with pick-up on March 13th in the school parking lot.
