Cacophony
at the
Cathedral!

An Enchanting Musical Experience!
Friday, October 29, 8 pm

Our camera operators need help!

The Cathedral media ministry has become an integral part of our outreach. We are very lucky to have two skilled volunteers to operate the equipment, but they could use a break now and then. If you or someone you know, is good with a laptop, or smartphone, or maybe video gaming, this could be an exciting opportunity.

Currently we live stream the 9:30 Mass as well as some special events. Anyone who is interested is welcome to sit it on a production. Contact Ken at 502-657-5221 or kgarrett@cathedraloftheassumption.org.
Happy Fall, Golden Stars!

Did you hear there’s going to be Cacophony at the Cathedral? It will be a Halloween event to experience! (It feels like Halloween has been going on for a year and a half because I am wearing masks and eating candy! )

This scary event will be happening on October 29, at 8 pm to benefit our Music Ministry. Cost $50/person. At least we can all be scared and entertained together!

To RSVP contact Brenda Samantha McWaters at brendamac40@hotmail.com or call:
502-641-1575 by October 25.

Special Mass for those Grieving
the Loss of an Infant Child

The Family Ministries Office is offering a special Archdiocesan Mass for those mourning the loss of an infant child. The Mass will be held at 7 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Church at 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40222-5413. Father Jonathan Erdman will be the celebrant and homilist and a moment of solidarity and witness will be shared at the end of the mass by Deacon Derrick Barnes and his wife Mistianna. Please contact the Family Ministries Office at family@archlou.org for more information.

This Mass is intended to provide comfort and an opportunity to grieve together in Christ's presence with others who have experienced this particular type of loss. With this in mind, we ask that only those actually affected by it, along with their families, attend this special liturgy.

No advance registration is required, and the event is free and open to the public. Masks are required. Please contact Lori Weiter at lweiter@archlou.org or 502-585-3291 for more information.
A New Language
for A New Generation
Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body presents a beautiful vision of human sexuality and personhood. It has revolutionized the way parents and educators teach morality to teens, providing the “whys” behind the “whats,” and paving the way to true freedom and happiness. Years after he wrote it, his vision is all-the-more relevant in today’s world, where teens are receiving so many differing viewpoints. EXPLORE: Discovering the Adventure God Made for You is an exciting and dynamic program inspired by scripture and Saint John Paul II’s vision. It will be offered to teens and their parents at Ascension on Monday nights from 6:30 – 8 pm. Contact Ascension at 502-451-3860 or visit www.ascension-parish.com/explore for more information.
