City Facilities Reopening to the Public September 7
Shortly following Santa Clara County’s initial health order, Los Altos closed all City facilities to the public, transitioning its services to being offered online or over-the-phone. The ‘Return to In-Person Plan’, going into effect Tuesday, September 7, welcomes the community back for in-person service with adjusted facility hours and new safety protocols. Many of the practices implemented during the pandemic will remain for added flexibility and accessibility of City services, including filing permits, applications, plans, and other documents online as well as meeting with staff virtually.

Make the Switch!
Conserving water is everyone’s priority during the drought and Cal Water just re-launched two great water savings programs. The lawn-to-garden rebate program enables customers to transform grassy areas into water-wise gardens and landscapes. The spray-to-drip program pays customers for every square foot of landscape area that is converted from spray-to-drip irrigation.
Single-family, multi-family residential, and commercial customers are eligible to receive $3.00 for every square foot of lawn removed, with the option of receiving an additional $0.50 per square foot if converting from spray-to-drip irrigation. The spray-to-drip rebate is also available as a standalone option. For additional details, terms and conditions, and to submit your online application please visit conservation.calwater.com.
