Were You Amongst The Fortunate?

Our near capacity crowd at the January 18 Carbon Tax Lunch Meeting featured a presentation by the Hon. Rochelle Squires and Terry Shaw of MB Truck ing Ass'n. Minister Squires reviewed the Carbon Tax issue, our made in Manitoba Plan a projection on direct costs to consumers and intention of the additional revenues. Terry  discussed the continuing value of teh trucking industry, the realities of shipping goods and the innovations that have been researched and continue to be researched to reduce their primary cost - fuel consumption.

This was a very informative session on a subject that we all know very little about and can further appreciate the issues.

What will the projected additional cost be for consumers to drive 4,500kms with the $25 Carbon Tax?  A nswer at end of newsletter
