Snow Day & Holiday Tree Lighting,
Saturday, Dec. 7
You're invited to what have become treasured MoVal traditions: the City's annual Snow Day and Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony , which celebrate our community's holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 7 at City Hall.

Festivities begin at 9 a.m. as children age 12 and under get to sled and play in the snow. The Holiday Tree Lighting will take place at 5:45 p.m. and will feature a very special guest who's sure to delight children of all ages!
"Spark of Love" Toy Drive Accepting Donations
The Moreno Valley Fire Department is sponsoring the Spark of Love Toy Drive and asking for your help to make sure every child has a happy holiday.
 
Please bring new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment to any MoVal fire station by December 16. Toys will also be accepted at the Snow Day & Holiday Tree Lighting on Dec. 7 and Dec. 7-8 at the Stuff the Truck collection event at the Moreno Beach Walmart. Our firefighters and Santa will make sure the presents get to children who otherwise might have nothing, and you may find your generosity makes this holiday season your merriest ever!

Happy 35th Birthday, MoVal!
They grow up so quickly!

This week, the great City of Moreno Valley celebrated its 35th birthday . We've certainly come a long way since the merger of the communities of Edgemont, Moreno and Sunnymead in 1984.

"Movin' Thru MoVal" is the
Community Center that Comes to You!
The Movin’ thru MoVal Mobile Community Center is a traveling free drop-in program designed to bring after-school recreation and other resources to children at Moreno Valley parks. It's intended to serve youth ages 5-12 and offers various educational and physical activities including sports, arts, homework help and more.

The Mobile Community Center program will officially hit the road in January, but a trial run is set for this month from 3-6 p.m. at three parks:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 10 – Community Park
  • Tuesday, Dec. 17 – TownGate Park
  • Monday, Dec. 30 – March Field Park (during Winter Camp)

Meet Buddy H e's a very handsome, mature seven-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix. Look at that face! He may be full-grown, but Buddy definitely still has that unmistakable Terrier energy and playfulness. He's eager to be someone's most loyal and loving companion.
