A Note from Ms. Trish!

Can you believe it is already OCTOBER? Crazy!! We have had the best time getting to know each other here at Playday and now we are enjoying cooler mornings and lots of fun fall activities! I just love seeing all of the kids first thing each morning. What a joy it is to be here at Playday!
FALL BREAK!
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 11th and Tuesday, October 12th. Because both days are holidays, there is no make-up day on Friday. Enjoy this break with your family!

We have several severe nut allergies in our building. If your child is in a nut-free classroom, please do not send any food containing nuts for lunch or snack. Thanks for helping us keep Playday a fun and safe place for every child!
A Note About Nutrition
Well balanced meals provide the food children need to grow, think, fight infection and fuel their bodies. Are you needing ideas for nutritious lunch choices for your child? Check out sample menus, information on food allergies, and choking hazards at www.fns.usda.gov/tn/myplate.
Fall Weather!
Reminder: We go outside when we can! Please pack appropriate clothing for your children to enjoy our outdoor playtime. Please also send your child with close-toed shoes and an extra set of clothes. Label, label, label everything!

Please help us keep everyone safe by driving slowly while in our parking lot, especially during our carpool time and in the South parking lot. Share this information with all of your drivers. Thanks so much!
Save the Date: FUMC ALLEN'S FALL FESTIVAL

Join us here at the church on October 31st from 12:00-2:00 for Trunk-or-Treat, a light lunch, games and more! Costumes welcome!
Costume Parades Coming Soon!
Save the date: We will have our annual COSTUME PARADE on Thursday, October 28th and Friday, October 29th (make-up day for Monday)! The children will parade through our courtyard with their class. Spectators welcome! You won't want to miss this! More details to come!
STEAM Center Update
We are having so much fun exploring science, engineering, art, and math in our new STEAM center! Teachers of all age groups can bring in their class or check out materials. The newest addition is our SCIENCE TABLE!

Outdoor Classroom Update:

We are so excited to get our outdoor classroom up and running! Our first step is the construction of our shade structure. We are working hard with the city of Allen and Child's Play. As soon as permits are in place and the structure is built, we will fence in our space!
