Freshmen Use the Scientific Method
|
|
Mrs. Dews’ and Mrs. Sumner’s freshman kick off the year with a breakout lab on the scientific method, a tour around the school to identify abiotic and biotic factors, and an investigation on how these factors affect each other. Using spinach seeds and radish seeds, they will observe how the type of soil (abiotic) impacts the growth of the plant (biotic). Non-living things such as dirt, air, sunlight, toxins and more impact your growth! Over the next few weeks, students will
use the scientific method to investigate, analyze, and draw their own conclusions from their observations. Oh, and literally get to reap what they sowed!

Season 6 of MPTV kicked off Monday with our longest show ever! This year's cast members are excited about the season, and we'd love to have your support for our weekly show which releases every Monday. Follow our YouTube channel, Instagram, or Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest content.
In addition, we will continue our live broadcast of all home MP football games on NFHS Network. Trey Bernard and Jason Williams are back again to call the action as our students run the equipment. Subscription is required, but it's only $10 a month, and you're supporting our program with your payment. If you or your business are interested in sponsoring part of the broadcast, please reach out to Susan Little at susan.little@mcschools.org
for more information.
