The Mom and I incest series was, frankly, an experiment. Could I successfully serialize a novel to the ebook market, similar to how I post stories a part at a time to Literotica? Could I use slightly different titles tied to each part's theme, so each could be published separately? And use the same stock image behind the titles to unify the series, rather than look for 10 images using the same model or find 10 different images to represent different characters.

I originally only intended to write 5 parts set over Thanksgiving holiday and then collect it into an omnibus, but I came up with story ideas to extend the series for another 5 parts, set over Christmas and New Year's. So, I wound up with 10 novelettes and 2 omnibuses, both of which are short novels.

If I had it to do over again, I would plan the titles better. I had been choosing them to stay in alphabetic order, but was already up to United for the 5th book - leaving only 5 letters in the alphabet. Rather than figure out a title for each of those letters, I used XXXmastime for 3 parts and Year's End for the final two. This let me loosen up the separate theme approach of the first five.

At half of the length of my other series (Our Love, After Dad Died), it has brought in 60% as much in royalties, which has been nice. I guess I can call the experiment a success.
