BEST WISHES FOR 2021!
From the bottom of my heart, I want to wish you the best for this year. I know 2021 will be incredibly challenging dealing with Covid 19, so many unemployed people, so few jobs, a lack of adequate funding and so many systemic barriers to employment. I hope you can focus to some extent on the incredible impact your work is having not only on the individuals you serve, but also on their friends, family and other people in the community. You are also having an impact on employers. Remember that the impact of your work looks like a stone thrown into the water. While you can see the immediate splash the stone makes, don’t forget to look at the many ripples that go out from the splash of the stone and think about the movement of the water below the surface that is also caused by the stone. The impact of your work goes far beyond what the funding sources count. Your work is often truly be life altering and life saving. Celebrate your work!
