Introducing 'The Weekly Drop', a new feature from Rogers & Company.
Look for it every week as we share a quick taste of news about one of our winery partners, new releases, or the wines we are enjoying now. We will continue to publish our in depth newsletter every month or so.
To kick things off, we are celebrating Andrés Vignoni, winemaker at Viña Cobos, who was just awarded the prestigious "Young Winemaker of the Year" title by
Tim Atkin, Master of Wine (MW) in his '2020 Argentina Special Report'. Congratulations Andrés!
Viña Cobos, which was founded over 20 years ago by legendary California winemaker
Paul Hobbs, turns out incredible, terroir-driven wines. Atkin has also classified Viña
Cobos as an Argentinian "First Growth", and their Malbecs are amongst the best being produced in Argentina. (Those who follow acclaimed critic James Suckling will know he is also a big fan.)
We have Viña Cobos' "Felino" Chardonnay, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon in stock and all are ridiculous values at $21.45 per bottle (taxes in, cases of 12 bottles). And for a more regional expression, we have their Bramare Lujan de Cuyo Malbec 2017 at $47.15 per bottle, in cases of 6.
