Verona Pizza Fest!
Verona Chamber of Commerce Presents: VERONA’S 1ST ANNUAL PIZZA FEST!

Pizza Fest is an opportunity for Verona’s participating restaurants to get creative and showcase their best pizza options for all to sample all week long! Pizza Fest will kick off on Sunday, January 24th and run through Saturday, January 30th.

Each participating restaurant will come up with their own pizza options to highlight throughout the week. Pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner! At the end of the week, we will ask residents to select their favorites in the following categories: Best Traditional, Best Non-Traditional and Most Creative.

VeronaNJChamber.org/PizzaFest is a work in progress but check back soon for a list of participating restaurants and menu items.
COVID-19 Updates
Masks are an additional step to help prevent people from getting and spreading COVID-19. They provide a barrier that keeps respiratory droplets from spreading. Wear a mask and take every day preventive actions in public settings.
Updated COVID-19 Vaccination Information
Gov. Murphy Announces All NJ Residents Ages 65 and Older Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine Beginning January 14. Individuals Ages 16-64 with Certain Medical Conditions Also Eligible January 14th.

"Do-Not-Knock" Registry Application
You can register your address and be added to the Township's Do-Not-Knock Registry by using the form below.

Addresses will remain on the registry until notification to the Township that the owner or occupant wishes to be removed or relocates outside of the Township. The list will be provided to any licensee who is issued a license to conduct door to door sales pursuant to Ordinance #2019-14 of the Township of Verona.

Municipal Election Candidate Packets Now Available
The next election is the Municipal Election on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. 

Verona residents interested in running for Township Council in the May 11, 2020 Municipal Election must be a registered voter in the Township of Verona and have been a resident of the Township for at least 1 year. Three seats will be open for a four-year term. 


The deadline for submitting a complete candidate packet to be on the ballot is March 8, 2021.

Verona Public Library
The Verona Public Library is inviting all Verona youth in Grades K to 12 to design a poster that will be put up in the library and other local venues that choose to promote inclusion and acceptance. Entries will be submitted and judged based on age group: High School (grades 9-12), Middle School (grades 5-8) and Elementary (grades K-4).

What They're Looking For:
  • An eye-catching poster design to promote social justice and inclusion that adheres to the contest rules below.
  • A positive message that lets viewers know that the place they are entering (library or business) is a safe space for those coping with the consequences of social injustice.
  • Original content and creativity. From abstract art to realistic sketches, digital art to photography, you are free to interpret the theme as you wish.

Senior Freeze Deadline Extended to February 1, 2021
This was a turbulent year. If you forgot to apply for the Senior Freeze property tax reimbursement, don’t worry. The application deadline was extended to February 1, 2021. There is still time to file.


Electric, gas and water utilities have suspended shut-offs during the crisis. If you’re behind on payments, you'll still have to pay eventually so pay what you can now. The Department of Community Affairs offers assistance with utility bills.
