Hedrick Associates is excited to bring Electro Industries/Gaugetech (EIG) on board and combine their offering with our Power Division portfolio of products. We view metering, trending, and predictive analysis solutions as essential tools needed for the optimization of facility operation and planning. Comprehensive energy and power quality management for commercial buildings provides a facility manager the means to identify areas within buildings that waste energy and pose disruption potential. In addition, using software as an energy awareness tool affects energy user behavior. This can result in up to a 15% savings in energy costs, which tends to persist over time. Along with the need to eliminate the costs due to wasted energy, the need for reliable power running your factory is also essential. Factory downtime = lost revenue. With EIG meters giving you access to PQ information at the point a problem occurs, and the EnergyPQA.com™ cloud solution predicting energy usage for the factory, you can be proactive in addressing problems before they occur, avoiding downtime and the lost revenue it causes. And EIG’s meters let you perform detailed forensic analysis of any electrical anomaly problems that occur. EIG energy management for industrial clients allow you to study what went wrong in order to prevent it the next time.

We at Hedrick Associates look forward to the opportunity to work with all of our valued clients to better achieve energy management and power quality awareness with EIG solutions. Please reach out to us for more information!
About Electro Industries/GaugeTech (EIG)
Founded in 1975 by engineer and inventor Samuel Kagan, Electro Industries/GaugeTech changed the face of power monitoring with an affordable, easy-to-use AC power meter. Sam believed this industry needed a solid state meter that could communicate data, providing engineers with the ability to make power management decisions. He proceeded to turn that vision into an industry reality.

An ISO 9001:2015 certified company, EIG sets the industry standard for advanced power quality and reporting, revenue metering, and substation data acquisition and control. EIG’s products are found on-site at virtually all of today’s leading manufacturers, industrial giants, and utilities.

Over the last 45+ years, we have grown, in size and capability, through our dedication to excellence, responsiveness to customers’ needs, and pursuit of innovation. We are still an independent company that manufactures our meters in the United States.

Shark 250: Multi-Function Switchboard Power Meter
The Shark® 250 meter is the latest addition to the Shark® Series power meter line. Designed for Utility substation and critical industrial applications, it offers enhanced revenue metering features, such as on-board Time of Use, CT/PT compensation, Test Mode and Energy presets, pulse accumulators and totalizers. It has multiple serial or Ethernet ports for redundant communication, including a front panel USB port. The Shark® 250 meter has up to 128 MB memory capacity for more significant load studies, including longer storage without overwriting of data. The Shark® 250 power meter has a software upgradable feature set, and a field upgradable offering of expandable I/O cards.
Nexus 1500+: High Performance Power Quality Monitor
The Nexus® 1500+ power quality meter is a primary and testable revenue meter that provides advanced power quality analysis and synchrophasor outputs. Access this information in both real time and with reports compliant with the IEC 61000-4-30 Class A Edition 3 and EN 50160 international standards. The meter measures voltage transient events at up to 50 MHz speeds. In this way, the Nexus® 1500+ power quality meter provides you with a comprehensive picture of your circuits’ power usage and system reliability. The Nexus® 1500+ power quality meter incorporates advanced metrology. The unit has onboard auto-calibration capability that calibrates its internal circuitry in real time, every 10 seconds. This improves meter accuracy over time and over temperature. Auto-calibrating metrology is ideal for critical metering. Providing highly accurate measurements exceeding the ANSI C12.20 (0.1 Accuracy Class) standard and the IEC 62053-22 (0.2S Class) standard, the Nexus® 1500+ provides an Energy Class accuracy of 0.06%, with typical shipping accuracies of 0.02%. Quickly determine accuracy using the meter’s high speed energy test pulse. In addition, the meter also features a new precision real time clock that offers accuracy of 3.5 ppm or less than 10 seconds per month drift.
Shark MP200: Submetering Meter
The MP200™ high density multi-point energy meter measures and reports on energy usage from up to 8 three phase circuits (3 element Wye, or 2 CT Delta) or up to 24 single phase circuits (2-wire or 3-wire). Its multi-circuit design saves you both mounting space and installation time. The MP200™ multi-point energy meter is ideal for any industrial, campus or commercial installation. With the MP200™ metering system, connecting multiple loads is both easy and highly cost effective. The unit is designed to consolidate many metering points to provide useful energy reporting. It is perfect for both new and retrofit projects.
