Dear Fitness Member,
We anxiously await the reopening of the Des Plaines Park District fitness centers. Your Prairie Lakes Fitness Center and Leisure Center Health Club have been revamped to welcome all of their members back in the pursuit of health and wellness at the start of Phase 4, schedule on June 26. As Prairie Lakes anticipates the Grand Opening of its new Aquatic Center on July 18 we are excited to roll out new memberships to allow for a more complete experience. These memberships are coming soon. Stay tuned...

What you need to know
about your current membership
Annual Paid In Full Members
- On June 26, members will automatically have 105 days from the original expiration date added. No action is required to start at this time for this option.
OR
- A delayed return on August 1 will have 135 days from the original expiration date added.
- If a delayed return is your preference, please contact [email protected] by July 8
Annual EFT (monthly payment) Members
- On June 26 members will automatically have 105 days from the original expiration date added to the contract. Payments will automatically be processed on July 15 for this option. No action required at this time for this option.
OR
- A delayed return on August 1 will have 135 days from the original expiration date added to the contact. Payments will automatically be processed on August 15 for this option.
- If a delayed return is your preference, please contact [email protected] or 847-391-5711 by July 8

If your membership expired during the time of the shut down the additional days added will allow for the remaining days you missed to be available to you upon reopening.

Operational changes in part due to Illinois Department of Commerce guidelines
- Facemasks are required to enter and exit the building (not required during workout)
- Locker Rooms may be closed - Come ready to workout
- Time limits for workouts
- Fitness Center Capacity limits are in place
- Equipment has been moved and signs posted must be adhered to
- Walking Track will be closed
- Towel Service is suspended
- Sauna and Whirlpool will be closed
- Fitness classes will have limits on the number of participants
- No drop-ins for fitness classes
- Due to class size limits, no member discounts will be applied
