Willard Beach Reopens
The City of Battle Creek is pleased to announce that Willard Beach reopens today. We opened it to the public June 10, and closed it again the same day due to storm damage.
Power is restored in the park. However, the large pavilion at the top of the hill is taped off and not available; there is a hole in the roof that we must repair before visitors can use it.
Willard Beach is open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Fees are $2 per person, or $5 per car.
Permanent restrooms are open, and staff clean them regularly. Other pavilions are available to rent – call 269-966-3431. Please observe social distancing when you visit.
Health Department Services Available
As with other functions within Calhoun County government, CCPHD is expanding the hours and availability of clinical services offered through the Battle Creek and Albion locations. CCPHD reminds residents that Immunizations, Tuberculosis (TB) testing, STI/HIV, and Family Planning services are currently available by appointment only.
Appointments can be made by calling Albion clinic (517-629-9434) on Mondays and Wednesdays, or the Battle Creek clinic (269-969-6363) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
CCPHD’s Childhood Hearing and Vision Program is also available for hearing and vision screenings. Parents or guardians should call 269-969-6389 to schedule an appointment for their child. Note that program staff continues to have limited hours, therefore, if you do not reach someone directly, be sure to leave a message and the technician will return your call.

Business with the City is encouraged via phone, email,
website
, or the postal service.
City of Marshall
The City of Marshall reports that city buildings will continue to be closed to the public through the month of June, although staff are reporting in person. The city held its June 15 City Council meeting in-person, outdoors at the new Cronin Millrace Pavilion in Ketchum Park.
