Easy Options for parking, biking, riding, or walking Downtown this weekend
June 11, 2018

The weekend of June 15 - 17 is filled with an awesome and inviting variety of community events hosted in Downtown Boise including:

Friday, June 15 - Harley-Davidson Hooligan Race

Fri. and Sat., June 15 & 16 - X Games

Fri. and Sat., June 15 & 16 - Boise Pridefest 2018

Sunday, June 17 - Downtown Father's Day Car Show

All events, except the Harley-Davidson Hooligan Race, are free and a great way to enjoy some family weekend fun. The Harley-Davidson Hooligan Race is a ticketed event Friday at CenturyLink Arena.

The Downtown Boise Association reminds you merchants are open and ready to welcome visitors this weekend. Getting downtown to enjoy these terrific community events is easy and convenient with just a little planning. Visitors are urged to consider the following recommended options:
  • Use Front or Myrtle Street parking garages:
    • Public parking garages at 9th & Front, 10th & Front and 11th & Front are outside any road closures, easiest to access and affordable. Parking all day on weekends is just $6.
    • Private parking garages at the JUMP/Simplot complex are also open to the public Saturday and Sunday. This is paid parking on the 3rd and 4th levels of the JUMP garage or in Simplot's below ground parking garage, with the entrance to both located on Myrtle Street between 11th and 9th Streets. Please note, the below ground parking garage is only available after 4pm Friday and until 6am Monday. Credit/debit cards accepted only.
  • Park at Boise State, walk or bike into downtown.
Boise State's Brady Street Garage is open to the public. Boise State is an easy bike ride or walk to all this weekend's downtown events.
  • Bike downtown!
Bike racks are plentiful and nearby each of this weekend's major events. Boise GreenBikes are also available. Find hubs at https://boise.greenbike.com/.
  • Rideshare
Rideshare apps are available and can conveniently drop off passengers near the event sites.
  • Avoid on-street parking.
With the number of events, finding a spot on the street will be tough. Avoid searching and plan to use one of the more convenient transportation option listed above.
