Dear DHS Staff, Students, and Families,
As a reminder, this school year, we are continuing with a virutal Open House which provides parents/guardians an opportunity to meet their student’s teachers and learn about the classes their students take each day. The online, pre-recorded format will allow all families to access the material when it works for them.
Beginning today, Thursday, September 2 at 3:00 pm you will find teacher videos on the Materials Page of each course’s Schoology page. If you still need to create a parent/guardian account, please check out our website for the Schoology Parent Access Guide in both English and Spanish. While we recommend you view these videos as soon as possible to learn more about your student’s teachers and classes, we will be leaving them posted until the end of the first quarter. If you have any questions or need help with Schoology or Infinite Campus, contact [email protected].

The DHS Outdoor Classroom |
Did you know that DHS has an "Outdoor Classroom" within the school building? Built by AP Environmental Science students many years ago, the outdoor classroom provides large group and small group seating for over 30 students, big chalk boards and WIFI connection so anybody can teach just about any class they would like in this space.
Shout out to Dr. Hoyer and his students for highlighting this amazing classroom - and ultimately exposing us to our natural environment (prairie) during the school day!

Seniors and Parents/Guardians, check your email for the CCRC Senior Newsletter. For the first semester expect to receive a newsletter on the 1st and 15th of the month with important information pertaining to the college application process, financial aid, workshop dates, night programs and more.
When a newsletter hits your mailbox, take a few minutes to read through it to stay on top things!

- Girls Coding Club meet every other Wednesday morning at 7:30 in D108, beginning this Wednesday, September 1

- Come to X-209 after school on Thursday, Sep. 2nd for our first Mathletes meeting of the year!
- Deerfield Aero-Space Association (DASA) Club, is having an informational meeting this Thursday, after school in room N104.
- DECA, Deerfield's Business Club will have its first meeting on September 10 at 7:30am in E114.
