CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL 
PHASE II
The Arkansas Department of Health released Phase 2 Directives on June 12. The Recreation Department Staff is updating amenity plans for pickleball, the outdoor pool, fitness center and indoor pool under these directives.
 
Phase 2 plans will be implemented on Friday, June 19, 2020.

POA Offices now open to walk-in traffic
On Monday, June 15, the Hot Springs Village POA Offices will open to walk-in traffic. The number of people that can enter the building is limited for people to adhere to the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines. The public is required to register with the front desk and have their temperature taken when entering this building, masks are required. 
 
State of Arkansas  
 
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson gave his daily update from Hot Springs today. During the update, he applauded Hot Springs and Magic Springs for a recent concert where photos showed attendees social distancing.
 
Arkansas COVID-19 increase with 274 positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. That increases the cumulative number of cases to 13,191. This is the lowest number of increase since last week. 
 
Currently 214 people are hospitalized, an increase of eight since yesterday. So far, 188 people have died, an increase of six deaths since yesterday. 
 
The age demographics of the people who are affected by the virus were spotlighted.  There are currently 1,357 people of age 0-17, approximately 10 percent of cases; 1,469, or 11 percent, were ages 18-24; 5,012 were ages 25-44, or 38 percent; 3,840 were age 45-64, or 29.9 percent; and 1,512 were 65 and older, or 11.5 percent. Of the 188 deaths, 134 (70 percent) were ages 65 and older. It was re-emphasized during the update that adults older than 65 were especially vulnerable to death from the virus.
 
Unemployment claims are continuing to decline. Some waived requirements will be re-instated by the end of the month. People will have to go into the unemployment office in person and they will have to continue to look for work.

Saline & Garland Counties 
As of Thursday, Saline County, 181 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County and 6,496 have tested negative. Of those testing positive, 129 have recovered. The death total remains at two.  
 
In Garland County, 165 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 4,928 have tested negative. Of the people infected, 137 have recovered and one has died.
