Worship With Us
Join us for worship this Sunday at 9:55am on Zoom—or watch it later after we process it and send you a link via email). Our scriptures are Genesis 18:1-15 and 21:1-7 (Sarah and Abraham, in their old age, are told they will have a child for nothing is impossible with God… they express hospitality, trust, patience, laughter); and Romans 5:1-5 (suffering, perseverance, character, hope) with a sermon entitled Zoom Church.

We will worship together and then immediately go into our Annual Congregational Meeting – Leadership (see below).

Did you catch the current Mid~Week Meditation from our Sanctuary: Let My People Go!

This week’s offering is a bit different. We continue to have readings, piano and the sharing of lyrics from our hymnal, songbook and other resources as we do each Wednesday evening at 5pm… the focus is different.
This one aligns with what is happening in our culture right now – an awakening.

Scripture: Genesis 12:10; Exodus 1-3:15; Exodus 5-6:13; and 1 Corinthians 12-13 with hymns/songs: When Israel Was in Egypt’s Land ~ Go Down Moses; O God, Our Help in Ages Past; A Mother Lined A Basket; Our God You Called to Moses; I Have Brought You Out of Egypt; Like Miriam Who Danced to Praise; Joy in the Morning; The Gift of Love.

Inspiration
Inspiration from UCC General Minister and President, John Dorhauer.
Some may see this as political. I think it’s about prayer and faith in action.
Humor
Everybody knew the roof was leaking, but the church kept putting off replacement. Finally some areas of the ceiling in the sanctuary began to sag. They called a congregational meeting. A member rose and pledged $300 toward fixing the roof. Just then a small piece of the ceiling fell and hit her on the head. Somebody in the back of the church said, "Hit her again, Lord!"
