Dear St. Louis Families,
Happy Friday! We ended our celebration of Catholic Schools Week with the Disney Movie, UP! which helped us reinforce the SEL message that we need one another, and we build each other up! It is particularly fitting and appropriate as we remember that part of what makes St. Louis such a special place is our community. A special thank you to the PTO for treating the teachers to such a nice lunch today—we are indeed #BetterTogether!
Our celebration of Catholic Schools also brings to conclusion a week where students and teachers celebrated St. Louis as a place of faith, excellence, and service. Faith because Jesus is the foundation of the work we do in partnership for our students. Excellence because we seek to form excellent habits in our students and help them flourish in virtue, imitating Christ. Service because we are committed to doing for the least of our brothers and sisters, knowing that in so doing, we do for Christ. While this week always seems to be shortened by mother nature, it did not stop us from spreading love, joy, and lots of spirit!
Next week we do have a 1pm dismissal on Monday, February 8th for faculty, staff training and Friday, February 12th is an 11:30am dismissal with the long weekend. Please remember that next Friday, February 12th is the deadline for current families to re-register for the 2021-2022 school year. After that date, we will release the priority hold on class spots. If you have any questions regarding re-registration, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs. Madden [email protected] or Mrs. Fiesel [email protected].
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Peace,
Anne Dyke
Principal

Hawk Tree House
The Hawk Tree House is a student operated supply store at St. Louis School. The store is open for on-line orders only of pencils, erasers, jump ropes, stress balls and masks. Students should work with their parents to place the order and send in the money. Orders will be filled two times per week.
The Hawk Tree House website and order form can be found under the Student Life tab on the St. Louis School website or using the following link: Hawk Tree House (google.com)
The store was created and will be operated by students in the middle school options program. The goal of the project is to provide students with 'real world' experience as it relates to math, money, technology and service. All product and money handling will be performed within strict COVID safety guidelines.
The Hawk Tree House was not designed to incur a large profit. All proceeds earned through the supply store will be donated to charity. The students have selected Catholic Charities - COVID Relief for the initial charity. The students plan to rotate the charity every couple of months. Thank you for your support!
