Art All Night at St. Columba's
Invite your friends and neighbors! Come celebrate this
DC-wide art happening at St. Columba's on Sat., Sept. 14, 7-10 pm. In partnership with Tenley Main Street, St. Columba's will display the mixed media work of visual artists in the Common and offer three hours of live Bach to Modern organ music in the Church Nave. Fall Formation: A Season for Learning
St. Columba's
Fall Formation is rooted in the Way of Love practice, Learn. Based in Scripture, "when we open our minds and hearts to Scripture, we learn to see God’s story and God’s activity in everyday life."
The St. C's Formation team invites you to a wide range of learning experiences this fall. In addition to Wednesday Night at St. C's courses, you may join
"Bible, Coffee and Conversations" on Sunday mornings at 10:15 am in Rm 238, and seniors are invited to our

Seeing the Face of God in Each Other Anti-Racism Workshop
This workshop provides an opportunity for people from different racial and ethnic backgrounds to explore the history of institutionalized discrimination in our society. It is a two-day workshop beginning on
Fri., Sept. 20, 12:30-8 pm and Sat., Sept. 21, 8:30-4 pm, held at the Perry Auditorium, Washington National Cathedral (3101 Wisconsin Ave. NW). Attendance is required at both days. Dinner will be provided on Friday; breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Click

Parenting Up and Down - A Support Group
The "Sandwich Experience" is not one we speak about a whole lot. Raising our children, no matter their stage and caring for our aging parents requires great care, patience, juggling, balance, attention and compassion for self. This is not an easy balance to achieve given work, stress and pace of our lives. Come listen and share stories about what comes up for us emotionally and spiritually as we parent up and down. We will offer resources and some tools for practice to help us find equilibrium while supporting each other along this journey. Join us

Human Rights in the Christian Perspective
Join us Wednesdays this fall as we explore the development of international human rights from a variety of perspectives ranging from spiritual, historical to legal. Together we’ll ask how Christians in particular can bridge the worlds of biblical justice with modern human rights. Facilitator Allyson McKinney Timm is a theologically trained human rights attorney who served as the Lowenstein Fellow in International Human Rights Law at Yale Law School and was named one of the “ten faith leaders to watch” in 2018 by the Center for American Progress. What does America’s religious landscape look like today? On
Sun., Sept. 15, Dr. Becka Alper, research associate at the Pew Research Center, will kick off our fall
Sunday Forums, discussing the findings of Pew’s "Religious Landscape Study." She’ll explore trends in mainline Protestantism, including among Americans who identify as Episcopalian, exploring their beliefs and practices, demographics, and social and political values.
