In December of 2020 the North Westside Provincial Restructure Planning Grant Standing Committee was established.

The objective is to provide input and recommendations in support of a RDCO Restructure Planning Grant Application for the North Westside to the Provincial Government.

The NWCA is recruiting for the executive position of Treasurer.

This position requires a high degree of trust & integrity, along with prior bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Frequency: year round

Time commitment: 4 - 6 hours/month

Duties of this position include:

  • Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.

  • Prepare five year budget projections for submission to the RDCO, meeting RDCO requirements.

  • Prepare and administer Library and other grant requests.

  • Make payments (via e-transfer or other acceptable methods) of utilities, misc expenses and all other contracted vendors.

  • Follow up with grant providers to ensure that funds are collected and spent appropriately.

  • Establish and maintain trust accounts, as approved by NWCA Board.

  • Ensure tax revenue is collected from the RDCO.

  • Maintain insurance policies.

  • Prepare year end documents for our external accounting firm.

  • Other duties as required by the Board of Directors


The candidate will transition into the position under the generous guidance of the previous Treasurer and President.
