Nominating Committee Formed
One of the most important functions of an HOA is developing a good Board of Directors who are typically nominated by a committee. The Board has approved the appointment of Paul Hallums and Clover Meadows who live on Paseo Bugota and Territory Drive to the Sunrise Presidio Village Nominating Committee with Paul as chair.

Paul and Clover would welcome your assistance in developing candidates to run for the Board. Ideally Board members would be elected from different parts of the HOA representing the concerns from those areas.

The SPV HOA Board is comprised of seven members - presently:
  • One position is currently open needing to be filled for the remainder of the two year term.
  • Three Board members have three year terms expiring in October.
  • Two current members remain undecided whether to run for another three year term.
  • The two most important committees, Roads and Landscape, are chaired by Board members whose terms will continue.

Meetings are four times a year that rarely exceed an hour, and Board members are encouraged to engage with a committee of their interest. It's a friendly way to meet your neighbors and help increase the value of the community. It's a great invest.

The Sunrise Presidio Village Bylaws state that a nominating committee be selected 90 days before the annual meeting (October 7) for the purpose of finding members to serve on the Board. After the annual meeting the nominating committee is disbanded. See Calendar of Events

Because the Nominations Committee is so important in securing Board members, there are plans to make it an ongoing year-round committee with the purpose of recruiting members to serve on the Board and Committees. We welcome your feedback regarding this Bylaw change, Contact Us.

There is also a plan to utilize Zoom web-based video conferencing for both Board and Committee meetings making participation easier and more convenient.
