Well, conditions aren't ideal, but we're making the best of it!
As you may have seen, the streets and sidewalks around the school are not slippery and snowy. Arrival and drop off procedures will remain the same as students come a few at a time. I have made an additional request for banks along Somerville Street to be cleaned, so until they are please use caution and patience.
The drop-off procedure will remain the same as it has always been.
Please remind the kids to wear their boots and bring shoes to change into because unless conditions are harsh they will still be going outside after lunch and walking to the parking lot after school. Canvas shoes get wet too easily and are not safe for walking on icy pavement.
However,
dismissal procedure will continue to be to park in the parking lot in the back of St. Anthony's Parish (not in back of our school where CLA is dismissing) as long as winter weather persists. I will walk the students to the lot and they will be dismissed to cars.
Thank you to those of you who've sent puzzles in to our library Puzzle Partners. We'll be setting those up after the holiday break for our indoor recess days.
Homerooms are collecting items for their raffle baskets this week. Each homeroom chose a theme and students will be able to purchase raffle tickets for the baskets.
