Business COVID-19 Grant Funds Still Available:
Funds remain available in the COVID-19 Business Assistance Grant (formerly the Kick-Start Grant) program and the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Grant program. Eligibility requirements restrict the types of businesses that may apply, and a business that receives a grant from one of the programs will not be eligible to apply for the other program. Garrett County Roadmap to Reopening Available:
The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce and partners, through the Economic Recovery Task Force, have released the “Garrett County Roadmap to Reopening: Best Practices for Businesses & Attractions”. The document provides a comprehensive list of best practices to assist with the reopening of the Garrett County economy. It is a tool that businesses can use to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Signage for businesses to display in their windows or office lobbies is also available. PPE and Cleaning Supplies:
The Garrett County Department of Economic Development has comprised a list of PPE suppliers that businesses can contact to seek out needed PPE and sanitation materials. If your business has sanitary supplies and PPE available for purchase, please contact Joshua Hook at  jhook@garrettcounty.org . Your business will be quickly added to the list. Maryland SBDC Hosting Free Webinars in July:

CDC Updates COVID-19 Web Page:
The CDC continues to update its COVID-19 web page with relevant information for businesses and workplaces. Recorded conference calls with stakeholders, best practices for reopening, communication resources, and general business FAQs are all available. More information: click here .
All Garrett County Government offices are open for business. In-person meetings will be by appointment only. Visitors to County offices will be required to wear a mask and have their temperatures taken upon entrance to any County facility.
 
Garrett County Economic Development staff will continue to work remotely to maintain contact with the County's business community and are available via telephone and email. Please note that our regular response times may be affected, but be assured that office staff will respond to you in a timely manner.
