ALUM PARENT NEWS

P ETER HILLER, parent of Sam '00 and Jake '02, former All Saints Art Teacher, and Jo Mora scholar  just  published his latest book, The Life and Times of Jo Mora: Iconic Artist of the American West. This beautiful, and largely handcrafted book interweaves fascinating biographical material with Mora's personal letters, journal entries a nd other writings - many never before seen by the public - to provide an intimate portrait of an important yet often overlooked artist.

The Life and Times of Jo Mora: Iconic Artist of the American West,  the first definitive biography of the artist Jo Mora (1876-1947), a gifted illustrator, painter, writer, cartographer, and sculptor of the American West. It is  a stunning production, designed and letterpress printed by Norman Clayton of Classic Letterpress in Ojai, California, with assistance of Molly Dedmond, and hand bound by Klaus Rötzscher,  of Pettingell Book Bindery in Berkeley, California. Generously sized at 9 x 12.25 inches, it features hundreds of beautifully reproduced offset printed illustrations of Mora's work, as well as many previously unpublished photographs.
