Holiday Bus

SacRT wishes everyone a happy holiday season and invites you to take a free ride on its annual holiday bus. The colorful 40-foot SacRT Holiday Bus will be easy to spot as it travels on different routes throughout the Sacramento region spreading goodwill from Sunday, December 1, 2019 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020.   In keeping with the "season of giving," passengers will have the opportunity to deposit a cash donation in the farebox. This year, all donations will benefit the Sacramento Children's Home.   SEE SCHEDULE

Safe Routes to School in Rancho Cordova
The Masterplan

In November, 50 Corridor TMA staff attended two "walk audits" conducted by Walk Sacramento at Sunrise Elementary and Robert J McGarvey Elementary. The Safe Routes to School National Partnership describes walk audits as "often conducted by a group of people using a checklist to assess street infrastructure and conditions, documenting barriers, positive features, activities, and perceptions of the walking environment."  These efforts support the development of the Rancho Cordova Safe Routes to School Masterplan.

Interested in getting involved? There will be a public workshop held in early 2020 for community input.  Date TBD.  LEARN MORE

Bike Share
Twists and Turns

Gotcha, the bike and scooter rental company with a contract to roll out services in Sacramento suburbs, has announced they have been acquired by another micro-mobility company called Ojo.  What does this mean for bike-share coming to a neighborhood near you? Well, it has certainly thrown a wrench in the cog, but city leaders and stakeholders are still optimistic toward the program. Stay tuned for an updated launch time-line.
