Father's Day is this Sunday and it feels odd that there is no Strawberry Fest in Waupaca. Nevertheless, we want to wish all the fathers a Happy and Fun Father's Day! There is no doubt our society needs good fathers more than ever.

We have been getting calls and emails about asking if we are open, and the answer is yes! However, we ask that you make an appointment. What does this mean: Call or email us to get a time when you would like to come and shop and we will most likely accommodate you. Our front door is locked when we do not have anyone scheduled to visit us, so we can continue to work on the projects we have in the backshop and our online store without having to keep an eye on the front. Russ has decided to hang it up his price gun and Don is scheduled to be off for the summer months, which reduces our staffing.

Because of the hole that was dug by the mandated shut down, we are trying to keep our expenses as low as possible so we can be around to serve you. With the summer months having less store traffic we feel we can accomplish serving you without staffing the front of the store one hundred percent of the time, hence the appointments. The Covid-19 virus did not go away and we still need to be vigilant, which is another reason we are limiting the number of people in the store at 0.3+one time and requiring face masks.

Another casualty of the mandated shut down is our backshop. With our wonderful technicians being off we got further behind on the projects we had in the queue and have since taken in a large amount of work since everyone started to enjoy their layouts. We do not like where our current lead-times are, and are working as hard as we can to try and improve them. With not having to fully staff the front of the store we can concentrate on doing more quality work to reduce the lead-times.

Our goal at EHS is to serve you so you can enjoy the World's Greatest Hobby and we can all turn our focus away from the negativity the world keeps throwing at us. Of course, with all of this Covid-19 issues we cannot have any clinics, however we are still here to answer your questions if you may have them. We want to do our "job"; however, we still need to have a sustainable business to do it, which is why we ask for your help, understanding and support.

We finally received a restock of the Ring Engineering End of Train (EOT) devices.

For those of you whom have been shopping on our online store you know we have been doing some upgrades and to get the balance of the 27000 SKUs we have in the store. Jim and our webmaster have been working hard on these improvements, which are almost complete. We continue to ask for your patience during this reconstruction.
