Rockwall County Commissioner Court News!!
Rockwall County Judge David Sweet has appointed current Royse City Mayor Janet Nichol as County Commissioner, Precinct 4, following the recent passing of David Magness who served in the role. We are so excited for Janet and look forward to our continued partnership!

We unfortunately had to cancel our in person luncheon scheduled in December due to Covid-19. However, On Monday, February 1, 2021, We honored City of Fate Police Officer of the Year; Daniel Guerrica (Top Photo) and Part-time firefighter Tracy Price (Bottom Photo) as Firefighter of the year for 2020.

From the City of Fate Department of Public Safety:
"PSO Daniel Guerrica was named Officer of the Year because of his “can-do” team spirit. PSO Duerrica is continually looking to assist where and whenever needed. Additionally, he is an excellent ambassador that connects well with the Fate community.

As a part-time employee, firefighter Tracy Price always approaches his shift with the “what can I make better” approach. He volunteers readily for filling an open shift and has a “take charge” attitude for getting tasks completed".

With every Royse City Chamber Partnership you have the opportunity to host a Ribbon Cutting. Obviously this year we were only able to have a few in person. For the time being we will be offering Virtual Ribbon Cuttings for those businesses that choose to have one.
