May your holidays be filled with Happiness, Health, Good Cheer and the Warmth of Family and Friends!  Wishing you the Happiest of Holidays and the Best for the New Year!
AHNA Photo Shoot
December 13th 1:00pm - 5:00pm

We are so excited to be in the process of updating our website. As part of the new design, we will be having new photographs taken to highlight new fear free features, new staff and much more. On Friday, December 13th from 1:00pm - 5:00pm a professional photographer will be taking photographs throughout the hospital. We are taking measures to have the least impact on the client and patient experience. Only families who are interested will be included in the photo shoot.

Holiday Pet Food Drive
Warm Hearts * Full Bellies
Help us spread love during this holiday season by donating to help local pets in need. During our "Warm Hearts * Full Bellies" Holiday Pet Food and Blanket Drive, we will be collecting donations of wet or dry pet food, new or gently used beds and blankets, pet toys, and/or monetary donations.

It warms our hearts to be able to help local pets in need by supporting organizations who tirelessly work all year to provide care and support to those in need. This year we will be supporting the Asheville Humane Society, Meals on Wheels of Buncombe County, and Asheville Cat Weirdos.

We are collecting donations through Saturday, January 4th. You can drop items off during our normal business hours. We are accepting  any canned or dry pet food, gently used or new blankets, pet toys and/or monetary donations at Animal Hospital of North Asheville during normal business hours through January 4th. Drop food or other items off anytime! Hills Science Diet will be donating 1 pound of food for every 10 pounds donated. Please, if donating by check, it must be made out to the organization of your choice (not to Animal Hospital of North Asheville). We will distribute the donations to the Asheville Humane Society, Meals on Wheels, and Asheville Cat Weirdos after the first of the year.

Introducing Dr. Rhoades

We are happy to announce Dr. Emily Rhoades will be joining us throughout next year to help with appointment availability during times when we have veterinarians on leave for continuing education, personal or medical reasons.

Dr. Rhoades is a North Carolina native, originally from Greensboro. She attended Guilford College for her undergraduate degree in Biology and Health Sciences. Dr. Rhoades continued her veterinary education earning a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Rhoades was Active Duty in the U.S. Army for five years after veterinary school. Besides working with families and patients, she enjoys multiple aspects of veterinary medicine but her special interests include critical care, internal medicine, and soft-tissue surgery. Dr. Rhoades continues to work as a relief veterinarian in Western North Carolina. We are happy to have her join our team.

Holiday Hours 2019

During this holiday season, we will be maintaining normal business hours with the exception of a few days around the holidays. We will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day. We will be offering limited hours before the holidays so that our staff will be able to spend time with their loved ones.

For emergencies during this time when we are closed, please contact Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital and Veterinary Emergency Hospital (WCRAH) at 828-408-0223 or REACH (Regional Emergency Animal Care Hospital) at 828-665-4399. Both Emergency Hospitals have doctors and nursing staff on the premises whenever we are closed. They will provide our hospital with a written record of your pet's visit by email, which will be placed in your pet's permanent medical records and will be reviewed by one of our doctors.
