St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), lived in the 16th century. He developed a type of spirituality based on his meditations known as the Spiritual Exercises. Still widely used today, the exercises teach us how to hear the voice of God in our daily lives. Though written centuries ago, the Spiritual Exercises offer timeless truth for the Christian journey.
Join us on Zoom for a spiritual journey with St. Ignatius on the following Sundays. Each session is from 9:30-10:15 AM and will be led by Bill Stancil.

Re-opening church buildings
Bishop Marty has been meeting online with his fellow bishops and the clergy of the diocese to develop our plans to resume in-person worship.
The meetings have aimed to determine the best course of action for the re-opening of West Missouri's churches for ministry and public worship. The health of our members and church staff is of paramount importance. Our plans also need to take into account the different re-opening strategies of the various authorities and municipalities in West Missouri.

As we all try to cope with our personal and family situations during this time dealing with the effects of the Covid-19 era, I am personally struck realizing the effects this forced lifestyle of sheltering in place and social distancing has had on me personally. And I know that if I am feeling physically, emotionally and psychologically drained, then others must be feeling much of the same. It is essential for all of us to pay attention to how we are coping during this time. Not only do we need to be aware of how others are coping, we need to be honest about how we are feeling and able to manage ourselves during these stressful and unknown times. So, to follow my own advice, I have been searching, reading and trying to apply what I am learning to help me manage myself through this time. The key pointers that I can share with us all is first to be honest with ourselves, communicate our feelings with our closest listeners, reach out to our loved ones and friends that we know are also struggling, and continue to keep in prayer for God's grace to inform our spiritual responses during this time. I ask for your prayers also as Debbie and I cope with our life settings. You are all precious not only to God, but to each other and to me. send your contribution to the Church under the "give" tab on our church website. You can mail a check to the church, use Zelle, use your bank's Bill Pay service or now pay us by credit/debit card.
We also have a dropbox for payments affixed to the
wall just outside the ground level parking lot door for folks to leave payments.

FOR OUR COVID HEROES.
We give thanks and offer our prayers of safety to our First Responders, Medical Personnel, Military Personnel and all Service Personnel who keep our day to day services open and available to us. In addition to the heroes on the front lines caring for patients and all needing medical care we also raise in gratitude and hold in prayers for safety all our other service personnel working each day to keep us fed, informed, and keeping our essential businesses open.with safety, courage and fortitude that they may know they are appreciated, loved and needed.
