You've Probably Been Wondering
Dear Bengal,

We’ve been talking to students, and they have a lot of questions about fall classes.

  • Will I have in-person or online classes?
  • Is it safe to take classes in person?
  • What about social distancing?

We’ve been thinking about those things, too. Your health and safety is Idaho State’s top concern, so we are making changes for the fall that will support your education, help you to stay healthy, and create the Bengal experience you expect.

You may have seen our earlier email about the University’s plan for this fall . To resume in-person campus operations for fall semester we have to use our available spaces differently. To practice the necessary physical distancing required, we are moving some classes to larger on-campus venues. We are also preparing for the possibility of adapting the teaching method of some classes from completely classroom-based to a hybrid experience, with students both in the classroom and on Zoom. This means we need to do a bit of adjusting to the class schedules. While you might see some changes in your schedule, our goal is to minimize the impact to all students. For example, some of your classes may not be in the room or building in which they were previously scheduled, and in some cases, the time may need to be adjusted.

This can be stressful. I know you may have chosen specific classes or sections of classes because they worked best with your other obligations. If your schedule changes, we will reach out to you. No matter your questions or concerns, we are here to support you. We will do everything we can to help you have the experience that best supports your goals, especially making progress towards your academic degree!

As always, please reply to this email or call (208) 282-2794 if you have questions. I look forward to welcoming you back to campus in August for another exciting semester at Idaho State.

Roar, Bengals, Roar!
