Neighborhood Watch
We need more block captains!
|
|
Please consider becoming a block captain. It makes a big difference and there is a minimal amount of time involved. Let's take care of our neighbors and neighborhoods! It has never been more important than now!
Neighborhood Watch is a great way for neighbors to get to know each other and work together, get trained to recognize and report suspicious activities in your neighborhood, implement crime prevention techniques such as home security and security through environmental design, and enlist the active participation of citizens in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in your community.
If you would like more information on how to get involved and start a Neighborhood Watch, please contact Carmela Mendoza at (714) 765-7962 or

Congratulations to Dale Junior High School
|
|
On May 7 the Orange County Human Relations Commission is awarding Dale Junior High School with its Distinguished Restorative Schools Program
.
The award recognizes exceptional contributions to promoting, nurturing, protecting and cultivating a school campus that is safe, welcoming and equitable.
Lorena Moreno, the school's principal, reports that Dale Junior High has implemented community circles to build community with students, staff and parents. Community circles are a safe and welcoming space where students discuss, share and listen to all participants' stories based on prompts facilitated by the teachers.
Community circles have greatly impacted the school climate and culture. Discipline data and suspension data have dramatically decreased and students seek conflict resolution through the restorative practices. Congratulations Dale Junior High School!
