2019 Legislative Day, in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, will be held at our State Capitol on Tuesday, April 9th and we look forward to seeing everyone there!

We encourage attendees to take this opportunity to visit their representatives and discuss the importance of CACs in the state of Illinois.

The CACI staff will have a table set up in the Rotunda (northwest side) beginning at 10:00 am. There is a scheduled press conference in the Blue Room at 12:30 p and immediately following, we invite everyone back to the CACI office for light refreshments.

Earlier this month, Governor JB Pritzker proclaimed April 2019 to be Child Abuse Prevention Month!

Support Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

#SHINE is NCA's national campaign to transform the conversation around the issue of child sexual abuse. For many, childhood is where trauma starts and it is time for us to be the light that survivors can turn to.

Alone, survivors of child abuse are like stars, single points of light in the darkness. But as each one finds their community, builds visibility, and shares their common commitment to support victims and survivors, they can connect into constellations and galaxies, forming a Universe of Support lighting the way toward a brighter future.
