Summer 2021 Newsletter
Hello Friends of Finley’s,

We hope you are well, healthy, and have been enjoying the summer season. We realize this summer may have a slightly different feel without the amusement parks, cruise lines, and concerts, but hopefully you, as well as your young ones have found a way to make the best of the sunshine and warm weather.
HERE's WHAT's NEW...
LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION DIVISION
Nothing says summer like splashing into the deep blue of a brand new pool!

We all want the perfect backyard - somewhere to escape, relax and unwind after a long day. To achieve that perfect at-home retreat, several clients have recently contracted with Finley's for the construction of a new pool or spa.

Whether you're looking for a new pool, spa, or pool/spa combo, Finley's is well equipped and happy to help bring your dream to a reality. From design, to engineering, the permitting process and finally construction, Finley's Tree & Landcare has you covered.

Don't delay, the pool development process can be lengthy and it's best to get the ball rolling well in advance when possible. Give us a call today and we'll be happy to help.
Alternatively, if you've grown tired of the upkeep, and your young ones have since left the nest, Finley's Tree & Landcare is happy to help retire your pool and return some utility to your back yard space.

Contact Finley's to backfill your pool, and then help design and build the next chapter of your landscape. Please note however, similar to constructing a new pool, the backfill process will require approval from the city and the permitting process can take some time.

Give our office a call today and save up to $1,000 on your next landscape construction project!

TREE CARE DIVISION
Tree trimming typically slows in the summer season as clients appreciate the shade offered by a full canopy.

However, this summer has been unseasonably hot and we will soon realize the impacts of the serious drought in Southern California. It is important to stay vigilant and take notice of any safety concerns resulting from dry, brittle branches, or branches infringing on your residence.

Finley's has received more "emergency" calls this year than any year prior.
In addition to the threat of failure, dry conditions and overgrown trees/shrubs can pose a fire safety hazard. Many of our clients have since received a fuel modification notice from their local fire department. A fuel modification notice addresses landscape where combustible vegetation will need to be removed and/or modified to provide a reasonable level of protection for structures from wildland fires.

Any branch overhanging your home, close enough to touch your roof, windows, or house, in general, should be trimmed back. Doing this will help you avoid any potential damage through falling branches, fire, disease, or other issues.

Finally, on occasion, it may be a neighboring tree overhanging your property line or infringing upon your residence imposing the the threat. If this is the case, please use caution as any tree planted on a neighboring property belongs to the property owner and cannot be altered without their consent. Fortunately, Finley's Tree & Landcare is familiar with this circumstance and happy to help manage neighboring relations by obtaining consent with one of our Property Access Consent forms.
