Make A Difference Day - Make A Difference Day, organized by Wolff Construction of Roselle, and supported by the Bloomingdale Parks Foundation, includes cleaning up trash, clearing invasive plants and vegetation, seeding native plants and vegetation, and more. The annual event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, October 21 at Springfield Park.

Additionally, the Parks Foundation secured a $5,500 grant at the wetlands through the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation. The grant is partially dependent upon volunteer hours conducted at Make A Difference Day. The resources raised will go toward upgrades and/or replacement of visitor boardwalks and stationary and floating piers, as well as repair/replacement of the interpretive signage that surrounds the wetlands. Contact Joe Potts at [email protected] or (630) 339-3576 for more information.
