Continued discussions about doing the right thing

EFDM has expanded our library with books for various age groups to help our students navigate and understand recent events. In English class, students have been having age appropriate discussions of current events and are learning about how Americans throughout our history have stood up for what is right.

We have started to read the books we ordered and have had many discussions on equality and change on large and small scales including how to react when you see someone being bullied or being mistreated. We believe that these conversations are very important and are proud of our students for taking them so seriously. We will continue to diversify our library and talk about black leaders who have fought their entire lives for equality and change.
