January 21, 2021 - Issue 22
Dear SCS School Families,

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 status in our community, we have decided to update our health protocols. Since the COVID-19 restrictions will most likely continue through the end of the school year, we have re-evaluated the COVID policy regarding students who quarantine without the class in Grades 4-7. Therefore, if your child has to quarantine because of an exposure and the rest of the class is in school, we will begin streaming classes online. This will look a bit different for each teacher. Classes may be viewed live or teachers will post videos for students. We hope this allows for more teacher instruction which we know is invaluable.

This online option is only available for our students who are quarantined due to COVID-19 and have spoken to our school nurse. Teachers will reach out directly when they are notified that a child is quarantined.

We also wanted to provide you with tentative holiday dates for the 2021 - 2022 School Year to aid in your planning.
Thank you for your continued confidence and support and may God continue to bless our community and school.
Yours in Christ,
Ms. Maria Ward
SCS Principal

We have adopted the CDC recommendation to change the number of quarantined days from 14 to 10 after a direct exposure. The quarantine time will remain 10 days after a positive test. Please know these are general guidelines and each case will still be evaluated for the best course of action on an individual basis.
