Blessings!
Thanks to the Lord, your prayers, and generous support, we continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus in Mexico, Central, and South America. Here is an update.
New Bible Institute in Ecuador
In 2020 we were contacted by an American missionary and an Ecuadorian pastor. They shared with us the need for a theological training center in certain indigenous communities, the Shuar and Quicheu communities. These communities are receiving the Gospel, but need theological training. Hence, in April 2021 we traveled to Ecuador, and after a meeting, talking, and praying with them, classes will start in November 2021.

We are partnering with two local churches in two different locations (Ambato and in the jungle at Chuwitayu) to build two training centers. These training centers will have dorms, a kitchen, a dining area, restrooms, and classrooms. The construction has already begun, so please keep us in your prayers for God's provision.
Matamoros' Bible Institute
2021 Graduation
On June 26th, 2021 our bible institute in Matamoros, Mexico graduated twenty-eight students. This was a great celebration because, despite the challenges of 2020, the students and teachers worked hard to finish the three-year program. Please keep these graduates in your prayers as they continue their journey. We are grateful for the participation and partnership of Dr. Gene Wilkes, president of B.H. Theological Institute.
Dulce Refugio Shelter
As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, one of our churches and bible institute has become a temporary shelter for asylum seekers. We now have over two hundred of them. These are women, children, babies, teenagers, and men fleeing political, religious, and cartel persecution. We provide them a safe place to stay, and three meals a day as they wait for their court dates. Please keep them and us in your prayers as we continue to minister to them.

Vacation Bible School
During the months of July and August, we will have Vacation Bible School in thirteen churches: ten in Matamoros, two in Valle Hermoso, and one in San Fernando. Our goal is to give hope and some fun to the children of these communities heavily affected by the cartels, and poverty. We will provide lunch, music, games, prizes, and the Gospel. Please join us in prayer for these children, and all the volunteers.
Our son Abraham Roberto has graduated!
We are so proud to announce that our oldest son, Abraham Roberto has finished high school, and graduated in the top 10 percent. He will be attending the University of Houston.
When we moved to the border he was only six years old. He helped us in every church plant that we started in Mexico. He distributed Bibles, served lunch, took care of children, helped in VBS, and by the age of thirteen he started teaching Sunday school class. We will miss him dearly, but we know that the Lord has a bigger plan for his life. Please keep him in your prayers.
