Great American Cleanup Wrap-up

Thank you to everyone who rescheduled their cleanups and who braved the cold weather to participate in KDB's rescheduled 31st Annual  Great American Cleanup (GAC) on March 30. The weather in North Texas is unpredictable, but our volunteers can always be relied on to come through and fulfill the goal of the Great American Cleanup - to clean up litter and keep our community looking clean, beautiful, and vibrant! If you haven't yet submitted your cleanup report (# volunteers, # bags collected, etc.), please do so ASAP! We rely on these numbers to obtain cleanup supplies from Keep Texas Beautiful for next year's GAC. We enjoyed seeing photos from your cleanup efforts on social media! Wrap-up: 26th Annual Denton Redbud Festival

Keep Denton Beautiful's 26th Annual  Denton Redbud Festival went on inside the Denton Civic Center despite the hail and rainstorms. Thank you to the thousands of attendees, volunteers, and vendors who made this year's festival a success! Whether you attended story time with the Denton Public Library , purchased a new tree or plant, or watched SCRAP Denton 's popular TRASHion Fashion Runway Show, we appreciate your support of KDB. KDB's Online Tree Sale

Purchase Trees

We have a limited number of beautiful 3-gallon Brandywine Maple trees available for online purchase at $20 each! Hurry because these beauties will go quickly! About the Trees Brandywine Maples ( Acer rubrum) are fast growing trees that can grow to between 70 and 90 feet tall with a canopy spread of 40-75 feet. Its leaves turn a vibrant red color in the fall before they drop. These large trees require full sun, so make sure they've got plenty of space to grow. Delivery & Pick-up Details Delivery is included for Denton residents; non-residents can pick up their trees at KDB's offices (608 E. Hickory St., Suite 130, Denton, 76205).

Business Member Spotlight: Atlas Protective Coatings After several years of wear of tear from weather, KDB's Yard of the Month signs were in need of a new paint job before the start of the season. We reached out to Atlas Protective Coatings and they agreed to recoat our 6 signs - free of charge! We couldn't be more pleased with the fresh, new look of our signs that mark winning yards each month.

Planting season is nearing its end! Did you know Denton residents can purchase and plant up to five native or adapted trees (from our recommended species list) now and receive rebates back?  The  Tree Rebate Program  - one of six programs offered through the  Denton Tree Initiative  - offers a $50 utility bill credit when you plant a  qualifying tree  within Denton city limits by May 1. KDB is accepting tree rebate applications through May 15, 2019.  Apply Now
