JTCC Alumni Feature

JTCC would like to recognize three accomplished former students and in particular what they have gone onto achieve since leaving JTCC. 

Eleanor Peters (Class of 2006)


Eleanor trained at JTCC from 1999-2006 and was named All- Metropolitan player of the year in 2005. After graduating from  Georgetown Visitation High School in 2006, she continued her education at the University of Maryland, then transferred to Syracuse University in New York after her sophomore year. While at Maryland, Eleanor, alongside Marianne Baker, won the Flight A doubles event at the Maryland Invitational.  

After earning her Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Management from Syracuse, she played professional tennis for two years and reached the top 700 in the world in singles and the top 600 in doubles. Eleanor continued her education by completing  a master's degree in Management and Finance  at Durham University Business school in the United Kingdom while working as the graduate assistant coach of the women's tennis team. Eleanor is currently a Client Service Associate at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Washington, D.C.

Eleanor attributes her training at JTCC with helping to equip her with the life skills necessary to accomplish all that she has thus far. Eleanor's stellar work ethic can be traced back to her time as the youngest player of JTCC's first generation of student-athletes. Eleanor learned to outwork her peers and climb to the top, reaching the #1 Girls' 16s junior ranking in the U.S.  Her experiences in tennis undoubtedly enable her to better deal with pressure situations she faces professionally today. 

Tyler Delaney (Class of 2010)


Tyler began training at JTCC in 2004 at the age of 12.  Tyler graduated from Centennial High School in Ellicott City, MD in 2010 and moved on to play Division I tennis at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA on an athletic scholarship. Tyler starred on the team all four years and served as captain for two years. Throughout her time at George Mason, Tyler worked as a summer camp coach at JTCC. 

Tyler finished her senior year playing at th e #3 position in singles and #2 line in doubles. She earned a bachelor's degree in Integrative studies with a concentration in Elementary Statistics. Upon  graduating in 2014, Tyler started working full-time at JTCC as a ROGY Coach and has now progressed to working as the Assistant General Manager and Camps Director. 

Tyler attests the development of her time management and planning skills to he r high performance training . As a student-athlete with a regular public school schedule, Tyler learned to manage her time wisely in order to achieve her goals on and off the tennis court. Training at JTCC also provided Tyler with rock solid knowledge of the basic fundamentals of the game, which is serving her well with the coaching side of her current role teaching developing ROGY players who are taking their first steps on the JTCC pathway towards their own college scholarships.

Luca Corinteli (Class of 2013)

Lu ca  trained at JTCC from 2004 - 2013. In 2011, Luca won the USTA National Clay Court Singles Championship in the Boy's 16s Division. He reached #35 in the junior ITF world rankings and #20 in the USTA Boys' 18s. 

Luca earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Virginia where he had a very successful collegiate career ranking as the #1 college doubles player in the country for two consecutive years. He 
was also part of the three-time NCAA Championship winning UVA team captaining the squad to their 2017 national title.

He graduated from Virginia with a bachelor's degree in Foreign Affairs and played on the ATP tour for eight mont hs. After his stint as a professional player, he  worked for CEB, now Gartner and Challenger, as a Business Development Specialist in Arlington, VA.  Luca now has a position as a Business Analyst of Industry Strategy at American Express based in New York City. 

He suffered from a debilitating  elbow injury as a junior player but learned to work through tough circumstances.  Luca believes his time at JTCC taught him persistence and focus. These skills helped him to be successful on the court at UVA and continue to drive him in his business career today.
