As you return to school buildings
October 9, 2020
As we prepare to welcome many of our staff back to in person instruction, we ask that you revisit all the information available to you for health and safety protocols.
Here is how the Health and Safety Committee has worked together to ensure that everyone is ready for learning in our buildings:

Families
A Parent Health and Safety Guide has been sent to parents for review and is housed at the Reopening tab at pdsd.org. That document includes the student daily screener, information about approved masks, guidance on hygiene and washing, transportation rules, and information about social distancing. We also created a parent health and safety video (similar to the staff video) to guide families through those protocols

Students
As you know, we will be guiding students through the practices that reduce the spread of any illness on a regular basis. In partnership with parents, we plan to keep our students informed. A new student health and safety video featuring our friend "Hank" will offer teachers a starting point for discussing those protocols for preventing COVID-19 with all students in every building.

Staff
Our professional development days seem so long ago! Remember that you can review all of the health and safety information you need, including the daily screener, updated (on October 5) health and safety guide, and the staff video as well. Even the initial presentation from Amy Bell is housed at the COVID Health and Safety section of the Staff tab at the website. Be sure to log in before you search for that section. Some key links are also below.

Thank you for your support and cooperation as we begin a milestone week with a fully operating hybrid model October 12th.

Sincerely,
The Penn-Delco Pathways to Reopening Health and Safety Committee
