Spiritual Direction Group
4 Sundays beginning August 11 at 10:45am
Margaret Redman and Ben McConaughy are offering a spiritual direction group for four weeks beginning August 11. Group spiritual direction is a structured opportunity to explore where God is moving in the members' individual and collective lives. We will center ourselves in the Spirit, share a bit of our lives, and intentionally reflect on the perceived presence of God. If the group is successful, we will explore continuing it into the fall. If you have any questions, please contact:
Margaret ([email protected]
or Ben ([email protected]).

Enjoy the Convenience of Electronic Giving
We want to remind you that we offer electronic giving as a way to automate your regular offering. Electronic giving offers convenience for you while providing MIPC much-needed donation consistency. We have both direct debit giving which automatically transfers funds from your checking or savings account as well as credit card giving. Visit our website www.MIPC.org to set up an automatic donation plan, change your donation plan or make a one-time donation.
Building Campaign Update
If you have been at the church recently you have seen that there is a lot going on. At the beginning of the month there was a large crane removing the old HVAC units from the west side of the roof and putting the new units up in their place. The crane will be back on Tuesday to complete the removal of the remaining units and delivering the last of the new units.  During the entire month technicians are working to install the new units . Next week, remodeling will begin in the old Rock offices to create office space for the First Taiwanese Presbyterian Church (FTPC). FTPC has been sharing space with MIPC since 2003. The remodel will also create a remodeled lounge space for the Rock.

We are moving forward!

Facilities Usage 2019
A review of our facilities usage protocol, prices and contract was completed. This resulted in new pricing for outside groups and some new policies for everyone. The new documents are attached.

A summary of the changes in procedure are:
· Sundays are set aside for worship. Activities not directly related to worship will no longer occur on Sundays.
· Ash Wednesday and Holy Week will be set aside for worship activities only; exclusion will be Pebble Preschool and Epic Days.
· Furniture used in a room must be returned to its original position unless a special arrangement has been made.
· Trash must be emptied by the group using the room.
· All dishes and cutlery must be compostable. (Contact Judith Baxter, [email protected], if you need help with this.)
· Church-owned audio-visual equipment may only be used with permission. (Expect equipment to be locked up.)

Thank you for helping us to make this a clean, well-functioning worship space that we can share with the community
.

Sanctuary Flowers Invitation
Each Sunday, congregation members have the opportunity to provide the beauty of flowers to the sanctuary. Many donate to honor loved ones who have passed, celebrate an anniversary or birthday or just because they love seeing flowers at church. Whatever the reason, your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. Flowers can come from your garden or a flower shop, whatever works best for you. Because some are allergic to floral fragrances, it's best to plan flowers without fragrances. Thank you.

Please look at the calendar to see if there is a specific Sunday that you would like to provide flowers for worship in the sanctuary. Your beautiful donation will be recognized in the bulletin.

Please reach out to Brian at the front desk to coordinate your donation or if you have any questions, [email protected].
