Good Turn for America logo
This Year "Scouting for Food" Will Be "Good Turn for America" (like last year)
For Everyone
During the month of November, units are asked to complete a service project of their choice to benefit their charter organization, their meeting location, or their immediate community. The need across the Peninsula is great, so be creative and work to fill a need in your community. Some possible ideas include: mask drives, clean-up projects, toy drives, cards for the elderly, cards for service members, food drive for a local pantry, etc. We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Be sure to record your service hours in Scoutbook. For non-Scoutbook-using units, find instructions here on how to record your service hours.
Later, we will have a patch available to order.

Wood Badge Reunion 2021 - Oct 9
It's happening!! Please join us for the 2021 Reunion on Oct 9 at Almaden Lake Park in San Jose. This will be a great opportunity to see your troop mates, meet other Wood Badgers, and get beaded! Festivities will go from 10am-2pm. We’ll introduce the Fall 2022 Wood Badge course staff, do a group beading for several graduates, have some time for fun and games, and give you the opportunity to connect up with your fellow Wood Badgers! Feel free to bring games that can be enjoyed while maintaining social distance. If you are interested in getting beaded there, reach out to your Troop Guide. There is no cost, but please register! This year will be a “bring your own food and drink” event. With COVID still active and the lack of kitchen facilities, please bring your own picnic! Masks required at all times, unless you are actively eating or drinking. Questions? Contact Mehul Patel (Reunion Coordinator, 408.623.6383) or John Lucas (Next Course Director, 650-704-2116).
