Varsity Baseball Picks Up Huge Win! SENIOR NIGHT Tuesday 4/23
Timely hitting and solid defense helped Arete top #2 Superior HS. Arete defeated the #2 ranked Superior Panthers Friday night 7-6. Senior Ben White batted in 3 runs with his 2 singles and a double. Jamison Brown came up big in the outfield and also on a key at bat the helped the Chargers win. Pierce Garver pitched 5 innings and only gave up 3 earned runs with 3 strikeouts. Senor Titan Palmer tracked down two big fly balls in the outfield to keep the Chargers in the game. With a two run lead, Freshman Aiden Ausdemore closed out the game with a solid pitching performance to win the game. Sophomore Keenan Griffin had two key hits to bring in two runs when the Chargers needed it most. Many other Chargers contributed to the victory and it was considered a whole team effort. The victory puts the 6-7 Chargers in the drivers seat to qualify for the 1A state tournament. They close out their season against #9 ranked Hayden on Tuesday at Tempe Diablo Sports Complex at 6:00pm. Come out to Tempe Diablo Tuesday night and help us recognize our Senior Baseball Chargers!
