That all changed for me during the height of the recession. I went back to school to pursue a second bachelor's degree in Communication technology with a minor in creative writing. So convinced that I was going to write for TV, I started to pursue opportunities that took me in that direction. During that time, I worked for four major networks, two shows and a creative agency (BET, CBS, NBC,PIVOT, Jerry Springer, Bold and the Beautiful, Dixon Creative). I also went on to work for Promaxbda (the Oscar's for Promos). I was also one of the fellows for Promaxbda Promo Pathways Program.
During my time I have picked up so many skills as well as expanded on the ones I already had. Presently, I work as a digital creative producer for the Act One group (mostly producing corporate videos and presentations, as well events) and I also help run a small production company with two colleagues based in DC. I am also the executive producer for a podcast called Black and Behind the Scenes.
I recently started learning creative coding and I am now looking to crossover into interactive producing.
