New social media campaigns recognize staff, educate public
With community outreach events canceled because of COVID-19, DEC is working to engage the public more on its social media accounts @911rva. Each week, staff members ask a public education quiz question and those who answer correctly are mailed a prize packet of DEC giveaways. Also, each week an outstanding DEC employee is recognized as an #IamRichmond911 honoree. Please help us by liking and sharing these social media posts!

#IamRichmond911 campaign wins public relations award
DEC's original #IamRichmond911 campaign was named an Award of Merit winner in the 73rd Annual Virginia Public Relations Awards. The campaign spotlighted one employee each month in 2019 and early 2020 who serves the community, both on and off the job, in original photos, posters, feature stories and social media posts.

Deadline to email your answer for the prize drawing is June 17. Send now!
Last month's winners
Everyone who correctly answered "I know my May Coworker" was entered into the random drawing for a prize. Congratulations to Chantell Jones , who knew that Aishah Robinson was the May coworker. Both chose from a 128 MB USB drive or a wireless charging pad as prizes.
